My First YouTube Video
I don’t know about you, but for me, it has been a very different experience to put myself out there for all the universe to see my first interview, as well as my first YouTube video. Here is the link for those of you that would like to see it https://youtu.be/zVzXDyLO89o
It’s with great JOY that my first interview would be with my dad before leaving for my very first journey; traveling from Ohio to Texas on A Quest For Christ to see where God is in America. I wanted to interview people as they shared their thoughts about what was happening around them, and to pray over a country that has been experiencing uncharted changes. And this all began back on that cold winter day on December 26, 2017.
It wasn’t by accident that all the pieces of the puzzle to make my dream come true came together like they did. Little did I know that dad would not make it to see it come into fruition, but I do feel his spirit with every click of my computer as I type out my message with you!
Dad was in his last few months of life, yet he always managed to have a smile. And I’ll forever remember the words of wisdom he would infuse in me whenever the opportunity arose. Probably the most noted conversation with dad came shortly before he found his ending days to land in the nursing home when the two of us were sitting at his kitchen table.
I always loved coming to dad’s property because he and his wife took such pride in caring for it. Dad loved mowing and trimming around all the trees. I remember sitting on his porch rocking, and listening to the humming birds, cardinals, bluejays, and robins chirp and sing in harmony as the aroma of the flowers, and fresh cut grass would float through the air around us.
He was nestled back in the woods with a u shaped driveway that was manicured so nicely with flowers, and decorations everywhere giving a feel of a female touch to the property. Bird houses, and bird baths were staggered along the front edge of the woods you couldn’t help but feel the peacefulness that the surroundings offered as one sat on the covered porch admiring the view. The colors were always bright and delightful, and every year I looked forward to the fresh rhubarb growing by the shed that I could pick to make rhubarb and strawberry oatmeal bars.
The day had come when dad couldn’t be left alone so I would stay with him for a few hours during the week while his wife would go out to run errands. We cherished this time together because it gave dad and I room to reminisce, laugh, and tell each other stories.
I had just finished preparing a light lunch for dad and when I placed his plate in front of him he looked up at me with his big, beautiful green eyes that had a blue shimmer on them that day, and he said, “You don’t know what it’s like to really love someone.” He spoke these words ever so softly as he slowly shook his head to the side then back as he picked up his silverware.
I knew exactly what dad was talking about for himself, but what could that mean for me? I had loved. After all I had two fathers of my six children that at one time I had loved them very much. So I said, “Dad what do you mean, I’ve had relationships where I have loved deeply?” Dad answered back, “No you’ve never really loved where it takes your whole heart.”
Where does this leave a women like myself?
I had certainly given out my heart and been taken down some twisted pathways in life in a few relationships that left me feeling hurt, broken; and not to mention in a huge financial crunch?
The only love stories I could remember working out were in the fairytales from the old Disney shows like Cinderella, but I didn’t find the lost slipper. Or these sappy Hallmark movies I use to watch with my granddaughter on Sunday afternoons. Isn’t sharing love, and feeling the beat of a romance what gives us such vitality?
Life always finds a way to express itself through love, and romance either thru people, or with its beauty in nature, and the amazing creations that hold such majestic views. The meaning of romance is a quality or feeling of mystery, excitement and affection. Don’t we all want to claim this feeling that breathes the meaning of life?
As silly as it sounds I have experienced mystery and awe by sitting on my back steps, and watching the sun slip from the sky as reds, and purples mix with the clouds until they disappear into twinkling glimmers.
I’m sure more of my romances, and twists and turns in life will unfold in time, but for now I hope you will join me in keeping a corner of your mind open.
I’d like to invite you to open up your mind to the idea that everything we ever needed to live a life that we love living is here. Science and theology have both proven that it is through one source that all life has been created. And this source contains a tremendous amount of energy, and has strategically crafted everything that exists as we see it today, and everything we do not see, and all things that are yet to come!
Absolutely nothing is new to the earth, or in the heavens
Did you know that each one of us is connected to this tremendous power, and it flows into us, and flows through us. We have been given the ability to uniquely design a life in which we were intended to live. And these resources to help you live out this life are already around you just waiting on you to take the action steps to reach out and grab them!
The YOU YOU are meant to become is yours to own. Some of us just don’t know how to connect with this entity inside of us. We are still searching, but many times we look in the wrong places.
My intention is to close the gap in the frequencies that flow below, above and all around us. Giving you a clearer understanding of how much YOU MATTER, and how to find this side within you.
If this message hasn’t spoken to you yet, please hear me now, YOU are uniquely designed for a wonderful purpose, and this purpose is waning inside of you to GROW. If you stay tuned to A Quest For Christ website, Facebook or follow us on YouTube you will watch how the truth within you will unfold. Give yourself a big hug, and know that you are loved!
