HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY
I sit here at my kitchen table on this evening of the 4th of July in 2022 listening to the fireworks as they light up the sky for the third night in a row.
This is the weekend where many of families and friends enjoy celebrating the Fourth of July by eating delicious food, and good drinks while they listen to music catching up with one another by sharing stories filled with laughter and joy.
How wonderful it is to sit on the grass, or lay on a blanket looking up to the sky to watch the display of lights with people you love. I looked around at the children staring into the sky with “AWE” in their eyes as they watched with amazement at the twinkling color display going on above their heads.
As a mother and grandma of the groups of children and adults sitting around me, I couldn’t help but feel the warmth within my heart as it showed up across my lips with this smile showing such a deep sense of joy. I am so blessed to have this time of celebration where we all come together, and share laughter and love, and not a care of what is happening outside of these moments.
When I think of living in America it makes me feel so happy and grateful that I am able to live this life of abundance! We can literally create the life that we love living right here in our homeland.
As I walked around at our celebration I was able to listen to my children and grandchildren talk with excitement about their hopes and dreams, and I thought to myself, “This is exactly why America was founded.” This was a land where people fought for this very reason; to fulfill the HOPES & DREAMS of the people they loved for a better future where they would be able to live an abundant life.
Every chance I had I looked for opportunities to encourage the child, or the adult that was in front of me eagerly sharing their stories of how they would achieve their dreams. It was as if I could see the wheels turning around in their heads like fuel to a rocket ship that could shoot their imagination to the moon. What fun it was to encourage their desires to chase after whatever their HOPES & DREAMS were.
People are no different today than they were back in 1776 as far as the ideas of individuals who take action on a HOPE, and hold that hope in the framework of their WILL, to chase after this DESIRE to live a life they love living that is filled with goals that have shown up into success, and to share it with the people they love!
I want to encourage you to chase after all your dreams, and once you have achieved them; do whatever you can to help others to connect with their dreams. And most of all remember to be kind, and to love one another as we walk through this journey called life.
